Digital Outfitters hire “famous” account strategist

MILWAUKEE – March 17, 2011 – Milwaukee’s most progressive digital ad agency has hired the legendary James Brown. No, not ‘that’ James Brown. “I’m not sure about his singing or dancing but when it comes to leading marketing efforts, Thirsty Boy clients can expect a magnificent performance,” says Steve Koeneke, Thirsty Boy founder.

Brown comes to Thirsty Boy by way of Korey Kay & Partners where he served as a senior account executive on a variety of accounts including Port Authority of NY & NJ. Prior to Korey Kay, Brown was a senior account exec at GyroHSR in New York working on ITT Corporation and GE Healthcare, among other accounts. Additionally, Brown spent time as a media specialist at Chiat Day, Los Angeles working on Nissan, Infiniti and Apple. And he studied art direction at the prestigious VCU Brand Center in Richmond, VA.

“James has a very diverse background. The fact that he’s spent time in the creative, media and account service departments is perfectly suited to his role at Thirsty Boy where he’ll wear a variety of hats,” states Koeneke. “His responsibilities at previous agencies included digital strategy development and management. He clearly gets the digital space. Combine all that with his passion for the business and where it’s headed and you’ve got the prototypical Thirsty Boy specialist.”

Thirsty Boy’s client list includes ThedaCare, Allstate Insurance, Hayes Bicycle Group, Dirty Girl Mud Run, Irgens, Sean Hyland Motorsports, Tushaus Computer Services, Grunau Wines and others. Thirsty Boy offices are located at 223 North Water Street, Suite 200 in Milwaukee. For more information visit http://www.thirstyboy.com or call 414.273.1700.
