The Business Forum recognizes Barb Waters and Tracy Buglass

Madison, WI – September 22, 2011 – The Business Forum (TBF) of Madison is pleased to announce that Barbara Walters and Tracy Buglass are the 2011 recipients of TBF’s Phyllis Broadbent award. Over the years Ms. Waters and Ms. Buglass have given countless hours to The Business Forum to further its goals.

The Phyllis Broadbent award is given each year to honor Phyllis Broadbent, a founding member of TBF who contributed her time and talent to grow the organization. She passed away in 1994 from cancer. Later that year, TBF established the award to recognize TBF members who reflected her qualities of vivacity, drive, positive attitude, gracious nature, and who go “above and beyond” to help the organization meet its mission.

Ms. Waters has been an active member of the organization for 10 years. She also chaired the 2008 and 2011 ATHENA ® Award program that is the main fund-raising event to provide scholarships for TBF each year. Ms. Waters lives in Brooklyn and has worked for Placon Corporation in Fitchburg for 37 years.

Ms. Buglass, who has just become the President of The Business Forum, has been an active member of the organization for 10 years and has served on three committees.
Ms. Buglass lives in Deerfield and works for The Employer Group of Verona.
