Tabby and Jack’s is Excited to Announce the Promotion of Elicia Ross to Spa Manager of their Holistic Grooming Spa for Dogs and Cats!

We love our pets and want what is best for them. Holistic Grooming removes many of the stresses inherit in many grooming salons creating a positive grooming experience. Due to the popularity and growing requests for the holistic grooming services found at Tabby & Jack’s, we are proud to announce the promotion of Elicia Ross as our Spa Manager.

Elicia has always had a passion for animals and began her grooming career washing her own dogs as a small girl. As a young woman, Elicia worked with her grandmother at her kennel both caring for and and grooming in her aunt’s salon. She started professionally grooming in 2003, and has been holistically grooming for Tabby & Jack’s for over two years. Elicia loves to groom in our mobile grooming van, as she finds the one-on-one experience to be very personalized and special for every client she works with. She also finds mobile grooming to be great alternative for cats and senior dogs, as it can be much less stressful for them. Elicia is known by the staff as the animal whisperer, as she is very in tune with her animal clients and goes the extra mile to make them feel comfortable. She specializes in rehabilitating dogs and cats who have had a previous negative grooming experience. She reintroduces them to grooming in a gentle way with positive voice tones and constant encouragement in an effort to reduce their anxiety.

Our Holistic salons only use chemical-free shampoos and conditioners, fragranced with essential oils that are free of harmful allergens. Kennel dryers are never used in our salons, as they make it very difficult for dogs to breath and can be fatal. We only use handheld velocity and fluff dryers, which are not only more humane, but is more effective in removing the undercoat and providing for a more professional groom. Furthermore, the hands-on drying method allows the groomer to tune in to their clients’ stress levels and change the speed and areas being dried to make our clients more comfortable. De-matting a dog by tugging on matts in an attempt to detangle them is not done in Holistic Grooming. We feel that “starting over” with a shorter cut is the best option for your pet. De-matting is extremely painful and creates a stressful and negative experience for your pet. If our clients prefer to keep a longer style, we educate them on daily maintenance to avoid the matts from developing.

Tabby and Jack’s has been in business for over 3 years specializing in pet nutrition and holistic grooming. We have two salons located at 2990 Cahill Main, Fitchburg, WI, and at 14 W. Mifflin on the Capitol Square. We also provide mobile grooming with our state of the art mobile van that comes right to your home.
