Suttle-Straus, Madison area communications provider, won a total of 22 awards for outstanding achievement in the eleventh annual 2011 Graphics Excellence Awards, a statewide printing competition hosted by the Printing Industries of Wisconsin, the state’s trade association for printing and graphic arts.
Competing against nearly 800 entries from printing firms across the state, Suttle-Straus garnered multiple awards for pieces submitted for judging. The company received Best of Category for five pieces, one Best of Division, and Awards of Excellence for eleven entries, representing a variety of products. Another five Certificate of Merit awards were given to Suttle-Straus for a total of 22 pieces being recognized.

Entries were judged on technical printing excellence by a judging panel of printers, buyers, and ad agency executives. Joe Lymon, PIW’s President stated “The print projects we received were simply amazing. Technology is certainly helping Wisconsin’s printing industry achieve greater efficiency, but the print craftsmanship behind the projects was apparent.”
The Graphic Excellence Awards recognize those responsible for the creation and production of print communications in Wisconsin. The competition promotes excellence in print communications and rewards companies and individuals who produce the best in print media.
