Stevens Donates Time, Food and Money This Holiday season

MADISON, WIS. (Nov 17, 2011) –One of Wisconsin’s largest General Contractors and leading concrete contractor, Stevens Construction Corp., will be making a sizeable donation to the, Madison-based, Goodman Community Center’s Thanksgiving Basket food drive. Just a few weeks ago the community center announced that they were still in need of turkeys and several other traditional Thanksgiving foods in order to help feed many of the area’s impacted families this year.

As a part of their civic duty Stevens has decided to step up in a number of ways in order to help relieve the areas of need for the Thanksgiving Basket Event. Civic minded companies such as Stevens feel the obligation to be socially responsible and that is why they have made the efforts to help with the Community Center’s Holiday event. “We have experienced remarkable successes this year that have inspired us to feel strongly about being able to give back to the community. We are happy to help and know that fewer families will go without this holiday season,” said Mark A. Rudnicki, CEO of Stevens Construction Corp.

Along with their monetary donations the company has offered several hours of volunteer efforts and have also held a mini-food drive at their office headquarters in order to help provide a few of the supplies that are still necessary to complete the Thanksgiving Dinners. As a result of the combined efforts, the event will provide about 1000 families with a Thanksgiving meal.
