Sterling Water: Eau Claire Culligan dealer announces fourth acquisition in a year

Eau Claire, Wis. – Effective July 1st, Sterling Water, Inc. d.b.a Culligan of Eau Claire, announces the acquisition of Zastrow Natural Water, the 5-gallon bottled water division of Merrill-based beverage distributor Zastrow The Beer Man. The business will be handled by Sterling Water Culligan’s Rothschild location, and marks the fourth time since August 2010 the company has grown via acquisition.

This latest move bolsters Sterling Water’s presence in the region as the company assumes customers located in Wood, Clark, Taylor, Marathon, Lincoln, Langlade Counties, with additional accounts in Vilas, Oneida, Price, Forest and Menomonie Counties as well.

“We have been very fortunate to uncover such great opportunities,” says Bret P. Tangley, president of Sterling Water Culligan. “Like us, Zastrow is a family business. We don’t take that lightly, and our team hopes to build on their legacy of loyalty and success.”

While the deal is for the bottled water business, the entire suite of Culligan products and services will be available to new customers, notes Tangley.

It is the largest and oldest provider of water treatment solutions in the Chippewa Valley area. This announcement comes at the Culligan brand itself celebrates its 75th anniversary this year.
