Manufacturer of whole food supplements recognized for community and employer leadership
PALMYRA, Wis. (May 19, 2011)—Standard Process Inc. was honored with the “Setting the Gold Standard” special award at the eighth annual Wisconsin Family of the Year Award banquet held May 5 in Madison, Wis. The company received a special award for excelling as a leader in both community and employee relations.
“As a leader in the nutrition industry, my family and I believe that Standard Process must also be a cornerstone of our community and a leading employer,” said Charles C. DuBois, president of Standard Process. “I hope that other family business owners are inspired by the special recognition we’ve received to ‘set the gold standard’ in their communities.”
Standard Process manufactures whole food supplements using many ingredients grown on its 420-acre certified organic farm in Palmyra, Wis., in compliance with its whole food philosophy. The DuBois/Wisniewski family is the third generation to own and operate the 82-year-old company.
Standard Process was one of four special award winners recognized for excelling in a particular area. The award program is sponsored by Madison-based CPA and consulting firm Smith & Gesteland; the law firm of DeWitt Ross & Stevens, also of Madison; and Associated Bank. Winners of the Wisconsin Family Business of the Year award were chosen by an independent panel of judges.
For the past four years, Standard Process has been named on the Inc. 5,000 list as one of the fastest growing, privately-held companies in America. The company was also named a Top 100 Workplace in Southeastern Wisconsin by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel in 2010.
