DE PERE, WIS.: The 2012 Forbes “America’s Top Colleges” rankings have just been released, and St. Norbert College is once again named one of America’s best colleges, jumping 68 spots to number 84 out of all colleges and universities in the nation.

The rankings are prepared exclusively for Forbes by the Center for College Affordability and Productivity (CCAP), and schools were evaluated by CCAP in five areas, including: post graduate success (30%), which evaluates alumni pay and prominence; student satisfaction (27.5%), which includes professor evaluations and freshman-to-sophomore year retention rates; debt (17.5%), which penalizes schools for high student debt loads and default rates; four-year graduation rate (17.5%); and competitive awards (7.5%), which rewards schools whose students win prestigious scholarships and fellowships.

The U.S. News and World Report’s college rankings will be released later this month. Last year St. Norbert rose 14 places on that list.
