St. Norbert College: International Visiting Scholar Program welcomes Pablo Lucio Paredes

DE PERE, WIS.: Pablo Lucio Paredes, a consultant and advisor to large local and multinational companies in Ecuador, will visit the Green Bay area from Oct. 3-14 as part of the St. Norbert College/University of Wisconsin-Green Bay International Visiting Scholars Program.

Paredes will present a lecture, “Is Society in Latin Oil-Producing Countries Really Different?” on Tuesday, Oct. 11, at 6:30 p.m. in the Fort Howard Theater in the F.K. Bemis International Conference Center on the St. Norbert College campus.

Paredes, who lives in Quito, will be interacting with students, faculty and administrators at both schools during his visit. He owns a daily talk show broadcast throughout Ecuador called “Economics for All.” He has also published several books on topics ranging from economics to soccer.

Dr. Kevin Quinn, professor of economics, will interview Paredes for an upcoming episode of “Conversations from St. Norbert College.”

The St. Norbert College/UW-Green Bay International Visiting Scholars Program was established in 2003 to bring scholars and professionals from developing countries to Green Bay for the benefit of the campuses and community.
