MADISON – Best Lawyers named two Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren s.c (Reinhart) attorneys from the firm’s Madison office “Lawyer of the Year” for 2012. Best Lawyers designates only a single lawyer in each high-profile legal specialty in each large legal community.
Harvey L. Temkin has been named Best Lawyers’ 2012 Madison Land Use and Zoning Law Lawyer of the Year. Temkin is a shareholder in Reinhart’s Madison office where he concentrates his practice on real estate and business law. Temkin serves business and health care clients, in addition to real estate investors, developers and lenders. He has represented hotel developers and investors on a national scale for more than 25 years.
Temkin heads up the Madison Reinhart Land Use team, which also includes Dean B. Richards and Nathan J. Wautier. Recognized throughout Wisconsin for their expertise in land use matters on behalf of private and public clients, Reinhart Land Use team has been particularly active in the city of Madison. Richards has been the lead attorney in adjudicating some of Madison’s high-profile land use disputes, and Wautier has developed expertise in zoning code matters by serving as Co-Chair of a Downtown Madison, Inc. subcommittee commenting on Madison’s zoning code rewrite process.
Robert J. Lightfoot II has been named Best Lawyers’ 2012 Madison Health Care Law Lawyer of the Year. Lightfoot is a shareholder in Reinhart’s Health Care Practice Area. He represents nursing homes and assisted living facilities in the areas of survey and certification, licensure, regulatory compliance, risk management, HIPAA compliance, contracts, and operational and transactional matters. Lightfoot also represents health care clients on matters before State and Federal agencies, including the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the U.S. Attorney’s Office and the Wisconsin Department of Justice.
