RaceTeamGear.com: Is in high gear for upcoming events

July 20, 2011 – RaceTeamGear.com will be sponsoring this Friday night’s Colony Brands 85 presented by RaceTeamGear.com at Madison International Speedway (MIS) and the RaceTeamGear.com Detjens Memorial 150 at State Park Speedway (SPS) on Friday July 29th and Saturday, July 30th.

“Both Colony Brands, Inc. and RaceTeamGear.com are looking forward to the Colony Brands 85 to be held at the Madison International Speedway on July 22nd as well as the Larry Detjens Memorial race the following week. We are really excited about our sponsorship of both great events. The folks at the Madison and Wausau Speedways are great people to work with and do all they can to support our efforts in racing,” said Joe Hunter, Vice President of Colony Brands.

The Swiss Colony and RaceTeamGear.com have been supporting the American Speed Association® Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment and GrandStay Hospitality for the past five years by providing uniforms for all series officials as well as previously sponsoring the Touring Star program and continue to sponsor many drivers in the ASA Midwest Tour.

Hunter is not just a business man, but he is also race fan. “At RaceTeamGear.com, we don’t just sell officially licensed NASCAR merchandise, we’re racing fans just like people throughout the country. We are a company that is run by race fans, for race fans. We currently support over 13 drivers throughout the Midwest including drivers in the ASA Midwest Touring Series, Madison International Speedway, Slinger Super Speedway, the Big 8 Series, the TORC Off Road Racing Series, Rockford Speedway, Dells Raceway Park, and many more.”

Nathan Haseleu, Jeff Storm, Jonathan Eilen, Chris Wimmer, and Chris Weinkauf are all sponsored by and proud to represent RaceTeamGear.com in the ASA Midwest Tour for the 2011 season. Several ASA Midwest Tour drivers will be racing in Friday night’s event at MIS and next weekend’s events at SPS.

“Keeping the overall health of short track racing in the Midwest is important to us and our employees at Colony Brands. We feel strongly that by supporting these races, as well as the ASA Midwest Tour, we are helping continue the long standing heritage of short track racing in the Midwest along with promoting our company and the products we sell,” added Hunter. “Midwest short track racing, our employees and our company are a great fit for positively promoting our core values at Colony Brands, Inc.”

The Swiss Colony, Inc. is one of the world’s fastest growing and most profitable catalog companies. In 1926, inspired by the small town cheese operations, Ray Kubly opened America’s premier mail-order cheese company. Over the years, the company has expanded, delivering an incredible selection of top-quality food gifts and added new brands that market thousands of items – from apparel and jewelry to housewares and electronics.

Swiss Colony has been involved in regional short track racing for almost 15 years. In 2007, Swiss Colony launched a new online business called RaceTeamGear.com . The organization wanted to take a slightly different approach to this business by making it a company run by race fans; for race fans.

RaceTeamGear.com was developed to offer race fans officially licensed merchandise from their favorite teams and drivers at the NASCAR Sprint Cup level. RaceTeamGear.com offers the same high quality merchandise that can only be purchased at the trackside vendors from the top national racing superstars including Matt Kenseth, Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Dale Earnhardt Jr., and many more.

Make your plans and head on out to these two great events sponsored by RaceTeamGear.com and see some of the ASA Midwest Tour cars and stars race against some of the hottest local short track racers in the Midwest.
