Quarles & Brady: Gray elected secretary of Waukesha County Community Foundation Board

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (July 21, 2011) — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP announced that Kathleen A. Gray, a partner in the Firm’s Milwaukee office, has been elected to a three-year term as a member of the board of the Waukesha County Community Foundation (Foundation). Ms. Gray will also serve as secretary of the board and continue in her role as chair of the Women and Girls Fund of the Foundation.

Ms. Gray, a trusts and estates attorney, focuses her practice in the areas of estate planning for executives, professionals and business owners, and in probate and trust administration. Her practice includes a focus on estate, gift and fiduciary income taxation as well as marital property. Ms. Gray has extensive experience working with the special issues which arise in cases of blended families. She was selected as the “2010 Leader in the Law” by the Wisconsin Law journal, named a 2009 and 2010 FIVE STAR: Best in Client Satisfaction Wealth ManagerSM, listed in The Best Lawyers in America® since 2001, and selected for inclusion in the 2005-2009 Wisconsin Super Lawyers® lists in Estate Planning & Probate. Ms. Gray earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Marquette University, her M.S. from the University of Illinois and her B.A., summa cum laude, from Marquette University.

The Foundation is a pool of permanent endowment and project funds created primarily by and for the people of Waukesha County to provide grant support to charitable organizations. The intent of the Foundation is to serve a broad spectrum of community needs through grantmaking activities, management of endowment funds to ensure ongoing grant availability, and management of assets for major community projects like public art and community libraries and recreation facilities.

The Women and Girls Fund seeks to aid and enrich the lives of women and girls in the community by raising permanent endowment funds.
