Latin party promises lively fund-raiser for safe babies
Waukesha, Wis. – A Cinco de Mayo celebration with dancing, food, entertainment and auction items will highlight Pregnancy Support Connection’s 2011 Annual Gala Event, May 5 at 5:30 p.m. at the Marriott West Hotel, Pewaukee.
The event is the biggest fund-raiser of the year for Pregnancy Support Connection, Waukesha’s premier agency supporting healthy children and young mothers. Pregnancy Support Connection (PSC) works to stop the cycle of child abuse and neglect in Waukesha County and beyond.
Waukesha State Bank and InPro Corp. are title sponsors for the 2011 Annual Gala Event. The festivities will include Mariachi bands, professional dancers and specialty food and drinks.

Sponsorship opportunities for the Annual Gala Event are available, with great feature benefits at each level. Attendance is $110 per person, or $800 for a table of eight. Pregnancy Support Connection provided services to nearly 1,000 individuals in 2010, and helped deliver hundreds of healthy babies. Many PSC clients come from homes where abuse, neglect and poverty are common. More than 85 percent have experienced childhood sexual abuse. PSC focuses on helping to break the cycle of abuse that shapes far too many young lives.
PSC celebrated its 25th anniversary last year, and its Gala Event drew more than 250 attendees. Nearly 200 attended PSC’s first-ever Sweetheart Fashion Show in February.
Pregnancy Support Connection – formerly known as UP Connection – provides comprehensive services, intervention and counseling to help women deliver healthy babies and become stable, self-sufficient parents. The organization’s motto, “for Safe Babies,” reflects its goal of helping mothers and babies develop strong, nurturing relationships and chart a successful path in life.
