Milwaukee, WI – September 7, 2011 – Paul Davis Restoration & Remodeling of Southeast Wisconsin will support the upcoming Wisconsin 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb to be held on Sunday, Sept. 11 at US Bank Center, 777 E. Wisconsin Avenue in Milwaukee. About 15 Paul Davis staff members along with family and friends plan to participate in the event beginning at 8 am until 1:30 pm. Activities include speakers and presenters from the City of Milwaukee, local and statewide dignitaries and department heads from the New York City Fire Department (FDNY). Approximately 150 Milwaukee and statewide firefighters and registered participants will climb the stairs, have lunch and take part in raffle drawings.
The 9-11 Memorial Stair Climb is not a race, but an opportunity to honor and remember the 343 FDNY members who selflessly gave their lives so that others might live. Proceeds from the event will benefit the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. Visit the website at http://www.9-11stairclimb.com.
“This year marks the 10 year anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center. We believe it’s important to have Paul Davis at the event which is orchestrated by the City of Milwaukee,” said Dan Druml, Paul Davis office owner and company president. “By climbing 110 floors in full turnout gear while carrying the badge of one fallen FDNY member, Wisconsin firefighters will gain a deeper connection with those who died that fateful day. And, Paul Davis will commemorate the observation as well,” he said. “Paul Davis celebrates the lives of those who gave their all on September 11.”
