Orion Energy Systems, Inc.: Appoints new Vice President & General Counsel

MANITOWOC, Wis. — October 25, 2011 — Orion Energy Systems, Inc. (NYSE Amex: OESX), a leading power technology enterprise, announced that Paul Kardish has joined the company as Vice President and General Counsel.

Paul will be responsible for all legal and related business issues in helping to grow the Orion organization. His unique background and practical approach will allow for efficient and effective implementation of solutions. Paul comes to Orion from Kohler Co., where he served in the capacity of Senior Corporate Attorney and Director – Labor Relations and Corporate Security.

In addition to Kohler Co., Paul’s background includes having worked in the capacity of Assistant General Counsel for both IM Flash Technologies, an Intel Company, and Honeywell International. Paul also worked in the area of Employment and Human Resources for two different law firms. Prior to his career in practicing law, he served five and one half (5.5) years as a Special Agent in the FBI.
Paul received a Master of Laws from New York University School of Law, and his Juris Doctorate from Gonzaga University School of Law.
