MILWAUKEE – June 2, 2011 – Nelson Schmidt Inc., a leading full-service marketing communications agency, announced today that Julie Hirt has joined the account service team as an account director in its Milwaukee office.
Hirt will be responsible for leading the Alliance Laundry Systems account and directing the Nelson Schmidt team in development and implementation of integrated marketing programs to accomplish its clients’ short and long-term marketing goals.
With more than 22 years in the marketing and sales industry, Hirt understands what it takes to build relationships internally and externally and considers her expertise in strategic thinking and talent development.

Hirt previously worked at GSW Worldwide, a healthcare advertising agency located in Westerville, Ohio, where she served as account director and managed the agency’s largest account worth $13 million. Before that, she was account director at Jigsaw LLC in Milwaukee, where she oversaw five major accounts. Hirt also has experience on the client side. She worked as manager of kitchen and bath international communications at Kohler Corporation in Kohler, Wis.

Hirt earned her bachelor’s degree in telecommunications and German from Michigan State University. She also holds executive certificates in international marketing and managing cross cultural relationships from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
