Governor Scott Walker Presents Prestigious Award to CEO David G. Voss, Jr.

Madison, Wis. – Miron Construction Co., Inc. was presented with the Excellence in Construction Award by Governor Scott Walker at the April meeting of the Wisconsin State Building Commission last Wednesday.

Miron was honored for its work on Phase II of the Wild Rose Fish Hatchery. The hatchery, which has been enhancing and restoring fish populations in Wisconsin for over 100 years, is undergoing a three-phase renovation plan to allow the facility to produce more and healthier fish.

Work on Phase II began in early 2008, and included the construction of new cool water incubation and rearing facilities for raising pike, sturgeon, walleye, and musky, and a new wastewater system to clean the water before it leaves the hatchery and enters the Pine River.

“We’re honored to receive this award, and to be recognized for the excellent work that our employees do for the state,” said David G. Voss, CEO and owner of Miron Construction. “We’re very proud of our commitment to our largest client, the State of Wisconsin, and we take pride in projects that are beneficial for the environment and the local communities in which they are located.”
