Milwaukee, WI – The law firm of Michael Best & Friedrich LLP is pleased to announce Danielle M. Bergner has joined the firm as an associate in its Milwaukee office, effective October 17, 2011. Bergner will join the firm’s Transactional Practice Group, focusing her practice on real estate, municipal law and finance.

In addition to the above-mentioned practice focus, Bergner has:
* Represented both landlords and tenants in commercial leases;
* Worked on real estate joint venture agreements;
* Handled matters involving condominium law as it relates to residential, commercial and mixed use contexts;
* Developed extensive knowledge in urban redevelopment, including brownfield law; and platting, zoning and land use regulation; and
* Assisted clients in commercial acquisition and divestment, bond financing and loans and tax incremental financing.
Bergner is active in the community and within local associations serving as a volunteer for the Marquette University Legal Clinic and an active member of the Executive Women’s Golf Association. She has served as President of the Association of Municipal Attorneys and in 2010, Bergner was named “Up and Coming Lawyer” by the Wisconsin Law Journal.
Prior to joining Michael Best, Bergner was an Assistant City Attorney in the Real Estate Section for the City of Milwaukee, WI. She received her law degree from Marquette University Law School with honors and her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, Bachelor of Arts in Economics, magna cum laude.
