Madison, WI – Four attorneys from Michael Best & Friedrich LLP traded their briefcases and suits for volunteer garbage duty as part of the Frito-Lay Beloit facility’s river cleanup event on Saturday, September 17th in Beloit, WI. The attorneys accompanied Frito-Lay Beloit’s Green Team as they paddled canoes, donated by Paddle and Trail of Beloit, down the Rock River and combed the banks gathering litter.
“Frito-Lay Beloit has been recognized by so many organizations for its impressive sustainability program. The opportunity to join them in this community service project dovetails well with our firm’s own sustainability initiative,” said Michael Best partner, Linda Bochert. “Everyone had a great day in this lovely setting, helping to keep this vibrant river corridor clean.”
The group collected enough garbage from and along the river to fill seven large bags.
