Germantown, Wisconsin– MGS Mfg. Group, a leading provider of engineered manufacturing solutions to the plastics industry, expanded and relocated its automation department into a new 14,000 square foot facility. The division, formally named MGS Automation, is located in an industrial park just a few miles east of the corporate headquarters in Germantown, Wisconsin.
As part of its corporate business strategy to provide a single, integrated source for tooling, manufacturing, and equipment solutions, MGS Mfg. Group has put an emphasis on increasing the capabilities of its automation division. “The demand for automated equipment built within our organization has never been better”, states MGS Engineering Manager Shawn Krenke. “We offer many advantages to our customers by concurrently developing the automation equipment in conjunction with the injection mold builds of the program – facilitating the timely delivery of the manufacturing cell.”
Within the past nine months the department has added four new members to its team to offset the increase in workload. The branch specializes in mechanical and electrical engineering, design, fabrication, assembly, and equipment validation. Operating from a separate location will support the department’s growth while establishing a focus center for proper validation and training on new equipment.
