Main St. Ingredients: Announces operations leadership change

La Crosse, WI – Main Street Ingredients, a leading provider of functional ingredients and contract manufacturing services, has just announced a recent operations leadership change. After over 30 years in the industry Rudy Rott has stepped aside from his position as the company’s Vice President of Operations into retirement. Shawn Wegner, Main Street’s Plant Manager since 2008, has been chosen to fill the role as Director of Operations. The change was put into effect as of November 1. Rott will stay on as a consultant through the end of the year.

Wegner brings over 21 years of food industry experience to his new role. Throughout his extensive career he has worked in a variety of capacities including lab testing, process development, production management and operations management. Wegner’s knowledge and experience with a broad range of food products and processes makes him an ideal fit for a company that caters to such a diverse customer base.

Main Street Ingredients’ President, Bill Schmitz, says of the transition, “It is with a heavy heart that we part ways with Rudy who has no doubt been an integral part of the growth and success of Main Street. However there is no one we would rather have step-up to the plate than Shawn.
