MADISON, WI – Members of the Madison International Trade Association (MITA) this month elected three Madison-area professionals to the MITA board for a three-year term beginning September 2011. Elected were Daniela Branco, Ryan Knaack and Karen Nielsen.

Daniela Branco is a native of Brazil and came to Madison with her family in 2007. She is a legal consultant and holds a law degree from Brazil and master degrees in Law from Canada and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Ryan Knaack is a Tax Manager with Smith & Gesteland, LLP. He’s spent his career consulting with small to medium size companies throughout Southern Wisconsin.

Karen Nielsen is the Director of the Babcock Institute for International Dairy Research and Development at the UW-Madison.

The MITA Board of Directors provides leadership in organizing networking and educational activities and events for its membership and companies involved in international trade.

The three new members join the current board of directors including:
