Madison Children’s Museum: Friday night of fun at Adult Swim June 24

MADISON, Wis. (Tuesday, June 14, 2011) — Back by popular demand, Madison Children’s Museum is opening its doors for round two of an adults-only night! Grownups will get the chance to be kids for the evening, crawling, sliding, and dancing their way through the museum for Adult Swim on Friday, June 24, from 6–10 p.m.

Adult Swim honors the public pool tradition of kicking the kids out so the adults can have the space to themselves. The first Adult Swim evening in March was a sellout, with more than 400 visitors taking over the museum. The same number of tickets will be available for the upcoming event. Gather a group of friends or co-workers for some Friday night fun.

New to this event is the arrival of summer! Weather permitting, guests can enjoy beer and wine on the Rowland Rooftop Ramble while grooving to disco beats of Madison group VO5. Guests also can find their way through the Hodgepodge Mahal climber, drive the Punch Buggy, take a spin in the Gerbil “Wheeeel,” and view the work of more than 120 local artists throughout the new museum. Pizza will be available for purchase at The Roman Candle Sparkler café.

Adults 21 and up are welcome. Tickets include access to the museum’s exhibits as well as one free drink ticket. A valid ID will be required to enter the event. Tickets are $10 in advance and can be purchased at MadisonChildrensMuseum.org, or for $12 at the door.

June’s Adult Swim is supported by The Monkey Business Institute.
