(Green Bay, WI) – Local Green Bay attorney, Robert R. Gagan of Calewarts, Duffy & Gagan Associated Attorneys, has been elected to the Wisconsin State Bar Board of Governors Executive Committee. Gagan will serve on the committee through June of 2012.
The Green Bay native and Premontre High School graduate received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business and his MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He earned his law degree from Marquette University Law School in 2000 and joined Calewarts, Duffy & Gagan that year.
Gagan was elected to the 14 member executive committee by the board of governors. The committee exercises all the powers and performs the duties of the board of governors between meetings of the board. “I’m honored to have been elected to this committee,” Gagan stated. “I look forward to fulfilling my role and responsibilities while representing the legal community of Brown County.”
Gagan is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin and Brown County Bar Association, serving as President of the BCBA in 2005. He was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star starting in 2006. Gagan also served as Special Prosecutor in the Brown County District Attorney’s office in 2010 and 2011. In addition, Gagan is actively involved in the community as a member of the Advisory Board for The Salvation Army of Brown County and is a co-founder of the Brown County Free Legal Clinic.
Calewarts, Duffy & Gagan is one of the oldest law offices in Green Bay, dating back to 1895.
