Karen Widmar has joined Legato Marketing and Communications as director of client services. Karen will provide healthcare strategy and account management to Legato clients and oversee the implementation of marketing plans and strategies.
Karen was formerly president of Boomerang Marketing, where she led the successful development and execution of marketing strategies for numerous healthcare organizations, medical device manufacturers, and service providers. Karen developed comprehensive CPM strategies and implemented plans to dramatically increase patient volumes and revenue from diagnostic services. She and her teams have earned several healthcare awards including the Gold Aster Award for Excellence in Healthcare Marketing.
Her corporate experience includes serving as director of marketing & community relations for Munising Memorial Hospital and Healthcare system, and as the business development director for a Michigan-based outpatient rehabilitation firm. Karen also held executive leadership positions with several social services, entrepreneurial, and economic development organizations.
Karen earned a B.S. in Marketing Management and will be completing her M.B.A. later this year.
