Krispy Kreme Doughnuts: To open Tuesday in Middleton

Deming Way location will be one of only two Krispy Kreme outlets in Wisconsin

MIDDLETON – On Tuesday March 22, the iconic doughnut chain Krispy Kreme will open its first Madison-area location, at 2019 Deming Way in Middleton. Middleton will be just the second Wisconsin location for the national chain.

Although Krispy Kreme sells assorted types of doughnuts, its signature item is the Original Glazed® doughnut that is traditionally served warm. Krispy Kreme offers four unique signature roast coffees, as well as iced and espresso drinks.

The 1,500 square-foot Middleton location is expected to employ 18 people. It will be owned and operated by Westward Dough of Las Vegas, Nevada. Westward Dough runs 13 Krispy Kreme franchises in Nevada, Utah, Idaho, Colorado and West Allis, Wisconsin (Krispy Kreme’s only other Wisconsin location).

“The Middleton/Madison area is a vibrant, growing community with an ideal mixture of businesses, students and families,” said Westward Dough CEO Lincoln Spoor. “We are looking forward to becoming a part of it.”

To celebrate the store’s opening, the first 50 customers will receive Krispy Kreme tee-shirts. Store hours will be from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends.
