Iron and Ashland County Mining Impact Committees : Ferrous mining permitting process to be discussed at public meeting in Hurley

HURLEY, Wis. — The Iron and Ashland County Mining Impact Committees will be holding a joint meeting on Monday, July 25, 2011 at 9:30 a.m., at the Hurley High School Auditorium. The meeting is open to the public.

State Senator Bob Jauch (D-Poplar) and State Assemblywoman Janet Bewley (D-Ashland) will provide an update about the legislative process.

The meeting is being organized by the Iron County Citizen’s Advisory Committee. The Committee was appointed by Iron County Board Chairman Dennis Derosso, and works to facilitate an open, candid public discussion.
