MADISON, Wis. (July 6, 2011)—The 2011 Maxwell Street Days Summer Sidewalk Sale is coming up Friday, July 15 through Sunday, July 17 on State Street in downtown Madison, Wis.. Hours are Friday-Saturday 8am to 6pm, and Sunday 10am to 5pm. Information is at www.maxwellstreetdays.org or call (608) 512-1342.
To date, ninety vendors are slated to participate in this giant sidewalk sale that stretches six blocks from Capitol to campus on
State Street. From Action Apparel Company to Zander’s Capitol Grill, downtown shops and restaurants, many locally owned, will offer terrific bargains on clothing, shoes, jewelry, gifts, artwork, music, books, toys, health & beauty items, food, drink and more. Other participating vendors include American Apparel, Anthology, B-Side Compact Discs, the camera company, Capitol Kids, Citrine, Context, The Fanny Garver Gallery, Fontana Sports Specialties, Freedom Skate Shop, Jack’s Shoes, Land’s End Canvas, Little Luxuries, Madison Sole, The Pipefitter, Pop Deluxe, The Poster Master, Ragstock, A Room of One’s Own Bookstore, Sacred Feather, The Soap Opera, University Book Store, Urban Outfitters, WinterSilks, and Yellow Jersey. Between shopping, enjoy food from vendors such as State Street Brats, Tutto Pasta, Taste of Tibet, Quaker Steak & Lube, Gino’s, Nick’s Restaurant, Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream, or Parthenon Gyros.
