(Madison, WI ) The Greater Madison Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) is announcing the internal promotions of Katrin Madayag-Ard and Diane Morgenthaler.

Katrin Madayag-Ard has been promoted to Organizational Research Manager at the Bureau. In her new role she is responsible for the management of organizational research initiatives, including performance measures and metrics, project and industry-related research, as well as convention industry and professional association prospect research. Katrin has been employed at the GMCVB since 2006. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northwestern University as well as a Masters in Political Science from the University of Montana, Missoula. Katrin also plays for the Unholy Rollers of the Mad Rollin’ Dolls roller derby league.

Diane Morgenthaler is the Bureau’s new Vice President of Marketing & Strategic Planning. Diane has been employed at the GMCVB since 2009, and previously served as the Director of Marketing. Under Diane’s purview she is responsible for developing and directing the GMCVB’s strategies to promote greater Madison as a convention, event and leisure destination, in addition to managing strategic initiatives and business planning. Diane has a BA from Lafayette College and received her MBA in Finance from the University of Rochester. Most of Diane’s spare time away from the office is devoted to her recently adopted five year old Sheltie name Keegan.

The GMCVB is the official destination manager and leader of Madison and Dane County. 2009 estimated Dane County Traveler Expenditures equaled over $1 Billion.
