Madison—Today Governor Walker signed AB 179 in Green Bay. The Governor called for the legislation in his special session. It allows municipalities to work together to create Tax Incremental Financing Districts across jurisdictions. The bill passed the Senate and the Assembly with unanimous votes.
“This legislation will make it easier for local governments to work together to create jobs,” said Governor Walker. “I want to thank Senator Cowles and Representative Weininger for their work on this bipartisan bill.”
