Gov. Walker: Announces investment project with Dairy Farmers of America

Project to retain 357 jobs

MADISON – Governor Scott Walker today announced that Dairy Farmers of America, Plymouth, Sheboygan County, will receive a $750,000 loan from the Department of Commerce (Commerce) install a new production line and make other improvements to its Plymouth facility.

“Agribusiness is one of Wisconsin’s foremost industries, and I am always pleased when we can help it expand,” Gov. Walker said. “This project will retain jobs in Plymouth and help the company add production.”

Dairy Farmers of America is a farmer-owned cooperative with 17,000 members and 3,000 employees. At its Plymouth facility, it produces milk, cheese, eggs and milk and egg substitutes. It will install a replacement line with new technology, rebuild three fillers, and replace an obsolete filler. The project will generate $13 million in investment and retain 357 jobs.
