The Golf House of Wisconsin has launched a new web page at http://www.wisconsin4golf.com or http://www.wisgolf.org.

The purpose of the new web page is to be a one-stop portal for consumers to go to when pursuing anything golf related in the state!

Established in 2007, the Golf House of Wisconsin has as its primary occupants the Golf Course Owners of Wisconsin (GCOW), the Wisconsin Section of the PGA (PGA) and the Wisconsin State Golf Association (WSGA). The Golf House of Wisconsin occupants are leading the way in promoting the game of golf in Wisconsin. These associations are leaders in promoting the game of golf to people of all skill levels, all ages and of all demographics.

The mission of the Golf Course Owners of Wisconsin (GCOW) is to provide education and advocacy on behalf of its members and to promote golf throughout the state of Wisconsin.

We have more than 100 member courses of all sizes and types and we have the perfect course for golfers of all ages and abilities. The Wisconsin State Golf Association (WSGA) was formed and exists for the general purpose of promoting and conserving, throughout the State of Wisconsin, the best interests and the true spirit of the game of golf. The WSGA is a 501(c) 6 organization comprised of over 400 member golf clubs located in the state of Wisconsin and approximately 50,000 individual golfing members.

Golf House Promotes Golf, Generates Revenue for Courses

Golf House of Wisconsin partners GCOW, WSGA and PGA assist in the promotion of golf for the state as well as generate income for the courses. Examples include:

* Although figures are not yet available, it is estimated that the 2010 PGA Championship held at GCOW Member Whistling Straits in Kohler, WI should exceed the $74 million generated their in the 2004 event.
* The WSGA and PGA host nearly 200 events at courses in the state. These events generate additional income for the respective courses as well as giving visibility and promotion to these courses from the players in the events.
* The GCOW and the WSGA promote courses through distribution of Directory of Golf Courses, Platinum Passport book, Wisconsin Golfer Magazine and other literature.
* Golf House participation at golf shows promotes golf to the consumer
* PGA runs First Tee of Wisconsin which promotes golf to the youth, inner city children, etc.
* WSGA assists with the running of the annual WIAA high school boys and girls golf tournaments
