Madison, WI – Full Compass Systems, a national leader in professional audio, video, A/V and lighting, hosted the 9th Annual “Golf Carts for Wisconsin Arts” tournament on May 21st. The event was held at The Meadows at Six Mile Creek in Waunakee, Wisconsin, an eco-friendly course highlighted as one of the top 50 locations to play golf in the state. The event was organized by the Full Compass Charitable Contributions Committee, and employee-run group who plan numerous events throughout the year to raise money for charities in the greater Madison area.
One of many philanthropic efforts supported by Susan and Jonathan Lipp, owners of Full Compass Systems, the golf tournaments have raised nearly $50,000 over the past nine years. Proceeds from these events have been used for various charities and most recently established scholarships for freshman in the School of Music and Department of Theater and Drama at UW-Madison. “We are very pleased to see the continued success of this event,” stated Susan Lipp. “Our goal is to keep the arts alive by supporting students who are focusing on them as a career path.”
It would have taken more than a little drizzle to dampen the enthusiasm of the over 100 eager golfers and volunteers who attended. Some of the biggest supporters included Aviom, Audio-Technica, Harman International, Panasonic, Sony, Yamaha and SKB cases. These companies and many others, as well as Full Compass Systems’ employees, partners and friends have given generously year after year to make this event a great success story.
