PORT WASHINGTON, WI – September 21, 2011 … Franklin Energy Services LLC, a leading national energy efficiency services company based in Port Washington, WI, announced it received awards in both the individual and team competitions of the Milwaukee BizTimes Media Fittest Execs challenge.

The six-month Fittest Execs competition is an annual event that is open to senior level executives in southeastern Wisconsin who want to improve their personal fitness and corporate wellness. Four executives per company are able to compete. Participants are put through a five-part fitness assessment to measure endurance, strength, flexibility and body makeup to determine fitness and health levels.

As a team, Paul Schueller, CEO; Steve Anderson, CFO; Tina Semotan, Vice President of Human Resources and Organization Development; and Fred Dreher, Vice President of Client Services, represented Franklin Energy in the competition. Together they focused on changing their eating habits, exercising regularly and relying on each other for support; all things they also encourage their staff to do.

At the recent Fittest Execs award reception, Franklin was awarded first place in the team competition. The combined results of Schueller, Anderson, Semotan and Dreher, beat out executive teams from eight other participating companies.

Semotan and Schueller also placed in the individual competition, which included over 90 executives. For the second consecutive year, Semotan placed first in her age category and ranked first place overall in the competition. Schueller ranked twelfth place overall, and was a finalist in his age category.

Semotan leads a corporate-wide Wellness Committee that focuses on educating and providing employees with resources for success. The Committee has organized Bike to Work Days, promotes participation in local group events and creates company-wide wellness competitions.
Franklin Energy specializes in the implementation of energy efficiency programs on behalf of utilities, states and municipalities. The firm has 300 employees and offices in nine states.
