Point spread will determine how much motorists will save
When the Packers win the Super Bowl, Northeast Wisconsin drivers will win again. Express Convenience Centers announced their retail outlets in Green Bay and Fox Cities will discount gasoline 1 cent/gallon for every point that the Packers win the Super Bowl. The event will last one day only, Monday, February 7, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. As an example, if the Packers win the game by 10 points, gas will be 10-cents a gallon cheaper the day after the Super Bowl. The offer will extend to all Express locations throughout the Fox Valley
“We thought this was a natural for Express,” said Jim Anholzer, general manager of Express Convenience Centers. “After all, our company colors are green and gold and Express is all about supporting the community and the home team!” Anholzer says Express customers and employees are all Packer fans and it’s a way to celebrate a Packers victory.
The average gasoline purchase at Express is ten gallons per visit. Express officials estimate they could have several thousand transactions the day after the Super Bowl.
