Patricia Pounds and Neal Smith Will Serve as Regional Vice Presidents of Sales

Fitchburg, Wis. (October 17, 2011) – Emdat Inc., a leading provider of web-based medical documentation software, today announced the hiring of Patricia Pounds and Neal Smith as Regional Vice Presidents of Sales. The addition of Pounds to the Midwest region and Smith to the Southwest region reinforces Emdat’s expanding client base and medical industry expertise.

Based out of Chicago, Pounds is responsible for the Midwest region. She will look to develop new business sales to the health system marketplace and will utilize 20 years of experience working in healthcare systems sales. Before joining Emdat, Pounds worked for several companies including IDX, Teletracking Technologies and most recently CodeRyte. As a sales executive at CodeRyte, Pounds consistently ranked as a top salesman and secured the largest contract in company history with Aurora Health Systems.

Smith, based out of Dallas, has been working in the healthcare field for over 25 years. Prior to joining Emdat, he was Director of Enterprise Revenue Management Solutions for McKesson Provider Technologies and was responsible for document management, revenue cycle and patient access solutions. Smith is actively involved in Medical Group Management Association, Healthcare Financial Management Association, American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management, National Association of Healthcare Access Management, as well as other clinic and hospital associations. He has published several articles and made presentations nationwide for numerous organizations and groups.
