Edgewood College: Adds four to Board of Trustees

Madison, Wis. (July 25, 2011) – Edgewood College is pleased to announce four new members of the Board of Trustees at the College. “These new trustees bring a wealth of experience, expertise, and real-world business savvy that make them an excellent complement to our Board,” President Dan Carey said. “In an era of changing economies and rapidly emerging challenges, our College is fortunate to have a very strong group of leaders who put students first, and who help guide Edgewood College with a clear focus on Mission and stewardship. These newest members of that group are a great asset for us, and a great fit for the College.”



Denis Collins is a Professor of Business at Edgewood College. Mr. Collins teaches classes in management and business ethics and is a Sam M. Walton Free Enterprise Fellow. He holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh. He has published six books and numerous articles. His latest book, Essentials in Business Ethics: Creating an Organization of High Integrity and Superior Performance (2009: John Wiley & Sons), provides practical “how-to” examples and best practices on every area of managing ethics inside organizations. He has conducted hundreds of business ethics workshops, presentations, and consulting projects.



Dawn Crim is the Special Assistant to the Chancellor, Director of Community Relations at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Ms. Crim earned her BA degree in Rhetoric and Communications at the University of Virginia, and her Masters of Education/Counselor Education at The Pennsylvania State University. Ms. Crim is a Founding Member of Madison Network of Black Professionals, President of UNITY, Co-chair City of Madison Joint West Campus Area Committee, and a member of Rotary Club of Madison. In 2006, Dawn was named as one of InBusiness Magazine’s “Top 40 Under 40.”



Neil Fauerbach is a partner and the Director of Business Development and Marketing at Smith & Gesteland, an accounting and business consulting firm. Mr. Fauerbach enjoys a wealth of knowledge of the accounting industry, professional services marketing techniques, and familiarity with the Madison market. He has been involved in his industry through the Association for Accounting Marketing where he is a Past President.  He has been named one of the “100 Most Influential People in the Accounting Industry” by Accounting Today Magazine. Mr. Fauerbach holds an MBA degree from Edgewood College.



Roberta Gassman currently serves as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Employment and Training in the U.S Department of Labor. Prior to this appointment, Ms. Gassman served in the Cabinet of Governor Jim Doyle as the Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development from 2003 through 2010. As Wisconsin’s longest-serving labor secretary, she led more than 1,600 employees in strengthening the state’s workforce, providing training, employment and dislocated worker services, and working with employers to fill jobs. Under her leadership, Wisconsin received national recognition for targeting training resources to regional industry partnerships.
