Dept. of Commerce: Aldevron recognized for workplace excellence

MADISON—The Scientist magazine has ranked Aldevron, LLC, third-best in its annual Top 40 Companies to Work survey, Department of Commerce Secretary Paul Jadin announced today.

“I congratulate Aldevron, LLC for achieving national recognition for workplace excellence,” Secretary Jadin said. “This is the kind of company we’re proud to have in Wisconsin.”

In 2009, the Department of Commerce provided $126,000 in tax credits to help Aldevron open a manufacturing facility in Madison.

Based in Fargo, N.D., Aldevron was established in 1998 and makes DNA for research and clinical use. It has sites in Fargo, Madison, WI and Freiburg, Germany. The Madison site has made significant contributions to Aldevron’s scientific work force and looks to triple in revenue and double its work force in 2011.
