Davis & Kuelthau, s.c.: Welcomes experienced trust and estate attorney

MILWAUKEE — Davis & Kuelthau, s.c. announced today that Thomas J. Drought has joined the firm as an Of Counsel Attorney in its Milwaukee office. He will be a part of the Trusts, Estates and Succession Planning practice group.

Drought has more than 50 years of experience with different types of trusts and probate administration proceedings. In addition to his broad experience with probate and trust administration, Drought has also served as an expert witness in probate litigation. Prior to joining Davis & Kuelthau, Drought worked Of Counsel with Cook & Franke S.C.. He earned his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School and his B.A. from the University of Wisconsin.

As an active member of the professional community, Drought has served as president of the Milwaukee Estate Planning Council and chair and director of the State Bar of Wisconsin’s Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section. He is also a member (and former Wisconsin chair) of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America in the category of Trusts and Estates for many years.

Additionally, Drought has spoken on estate planning topics and is active in both the professional and civic community, serving in leadership roles in a number of organizations throughout the state.
