MADISON – The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) reminds people to register now for the Wisconsin Rural Partners, Inc. Rural Regional Forums. Wisconsin Rural Partners invites people to attend one of two forums planned across the state to share their point of view on local issues, challenges, and priorities for rural communities.

Citizens, community leaders, local school and government officials, private industry representatives, and organization members are encouraged to attend. Rural Regional Forums will be held from 8:45-11:30 a.m.

Dates and locations for the Rural Regional Forums are:

* October 7, 2011: Mr. Ed’s Tee Pee Supper Club, 812 Superior Avenue, Tomah

* October 21, 2011: Osthoff Resort, 101 Osthoff Avenue, Elkhart Lake

This is the first year Wisconsin Rural Partners is offering the Rural Regional Forums. Information gathered at the forums will be summarized and shared with forum participants as well as with key stakeholders at the Wisconsin Rural Summit on December 2, 2011 at Stoney Creek Inn in Rothschild.

The registration fee of $25 includes breakfast and a summary report of forum findings.
