(September 29, 2011) – Clifton Gunderson’s semi-annual not-for-profit seminars combine critical tax, audit and accounting updates with practical answers to the “how to” questions that not-for-profit accounting and management professionals face every day. Join Clifton Gunderson experts for a not-for-profit tax and accounting update that will address current issues in the not-for-profit world, followed by facilitated roundtable discussions to address additional topics relevant to the attendees and their specific type of not-for-profit organization.

The complimentary seminar will be held Thursday, November 3, 2011, at the Clifton Gunderson Office, 10700 W. Research Drive, Ground Level Conference Room, Milwaukee, from 8:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. CST.

Specific learning objectives include:

* Discuss recent economic and industry developments that are affecting not-for-profit organizations.

* Identify important regulatory developments, pronouncements and standards relevant to not-for-profit audits and accounting.

* Recognize and respond to emerging tax issues that affect not-for-profit organizations, including rules relative to transactions with related organizations, use of taxable subsidiaries, and unrelated trade or business activities.
