Money supports programs and services for breast cancer survivors
As the sun set over Lake Mendota, Breast Cancer Recovery invited the public to an extraordinarily fun and elegant “Party on the Lake” on Monday June 13, 2011 at Bishops Bay Country Club in Middleton, Wisconsin. The evening was a huge success, raising almost $70,000! Since 1997, Breast Cancer Recovery has carried out our mission to provide environments for women breast cancer survivors to heal emotionally. Due to funds raised at this event retreats are provided to participants at a fraction of the cost and scholarships are granted to women unable to pay.
Over a hundred local businesses and individuals donated prizes to the event’s auction. Guests bid on many unique prizes and experiences including a Yak 45 flight, helicopter ride, take your kids to school in a fire truck, vacation packages, unique jewelry, Packer tickets, Brewers tickets and many other luxury packages. This was the main fundraiser for Breast Cancer Recovery in 2011 and all proceeds benefited Breast Cancer Recovery programs for breast cancer survivors. Breast Cancer Recovery would like to express gratitude to all who participated and helped make the 2011 Party on the Lake possible.
