Executive Biography

Gerardo Canales is a business growth consultant for small and midsize service and distribution businesses, with finance and crisis management experience for midsize businesses in Texas and the Midwest. Founder of the management accounting and consulting firm The Business Right Hand and the free Spanish language business advice site MiBrazoderecho.com; recently he worked with a small business to launch an LED Lighting line licensed by a major brand. He established a local business networking blog and website to feature local events and business owners to assist them in finding resources for networking and operational information.

Mr. Canales has an Executive MBA from the IPADE Business School – Universidad Panamericana. Because of his business expertise and insightful writings, Mr. Canales has been asked to be a Finance Contributor to New Futuro, a bilingual on-line community, and a contributing member for the Technology committee of the San Antonio North Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Canales has worked for major corporations like: Lancer Corp HQ in San Antonio, Texas, Hexion Specialty Chemicals – HQ Columbus, OH and Cooper Power Systems – HQ Houston Texas

Mr. Canales prides himself as a “hands on consultant”. You will find him on the shop-floor and in the board room advising clients on issues from inventory turns to delicate issues of corporate buyouts. An example of how powerful this combination works can be best shown when a client company of Mr. Canales suffered a series of setbacks to both his warehouse and bookkeeping staffs during a crucial management change-over time. Mr. Canales stepped in to not only help with picking orders and doing the bookwork, but he implemented new procedures for them which helped streamline their processes and in the end, save time and money.

Mr. Canales balances his work-family time with his wife Diana and his son Diego; they spent most of the time engaged in family activities like going out to parks, hiking, or watching movies. They all share the love for baseball and soccer.
