Bakke Norman, S.C.: Attorney Tamara Skoglund joins Bakke Norman law firm

NOV. 14, 2011 | NEW RICHMOND, WI | Tamara Skoglund has joined the Bakke Norman law firm, with offices in Baldwin, Menomonie and New Richmond, Wis. A member of Bakke Norman’s tax and business law team, Skoglund’s areas of expertise include tax law, corporate/business law and civil litigation. In addition to being an attorney, Tamara is also a certified public accountant.

A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and the Hamline University School of Law, Skoglund most recently worked with Schober, Schober and Mitchell, S.C. in New Berlin. She also worked as a law clerk in the Minnesota Tax Court in St. Paul, and has a broad range of experience in public and corporate accounting.

“Tamara’s wide range of experiences in accounting, finance and business law are an asset to our firm and our clients,” said Tom Schumacher, Bakke Norman co-founder and partner. “We look forward to working with her and welcoming her back to the St. Croix Valley.”

Skoglund grew up in Stillwater and lived in the Milwaukee area for 18 years. She now lives in Hudson with her husband and two daughters. “I am excited to be back in the St. Croix Valley and look forward to providing legal services to individuals and businesses. I am honored to be working with such a talented group of attorneys at Bakke Norman,” says Skoglund.

While attending law school, Skoglund served as primary and associate editor of the Hamline Journal of Public Law and Policy. In 2009, she was named a Rising Star by Wisconsin Super Lawyers & Rising Stars, which recognizes the best attorneys under age 40 or within the first 10 years of practice. Only 2.5 percent of lawyers in Wisconsin are named to the Rising Star list each year; Wisconsin Super Lawyers & Rising Stars is published each December in a special section of Milwaukee Magazine.
