American Speed Association: Comp Cams back again in 2011

COMP RETURNS AS CONTINGENCY ASAMT SPONSOR

March 31, 2011 – The American Speed Association® Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment and GrandStay Hospitality is celebrating its fifth anniversary in 2011. Thirty years prior, COMP Cams was born, celebrating their 35th anniversary this year. The ASAMT is happy to have them back on board as a contingency sponsor this year.

COMP Cams is involved in every form of racing from NASCAR and NHRA to local grassroots on both pavement and dirt. As the world’s largest manufacturer of performance valve train products, COMP Cams takes great pride in being the leader in technology.

COMP Cams is also the leading member of COMP Performance Group, which includes other ASAMT supporting companies such as, RHS, TCI, and Quarter Master.

Chris Douglas, VP of Marketing for COMP Cams is looking forward to another year with the ASAMT. “We are very proud to again be associated with the ASA Midwest Tour for the 2011 season. This year marks an important milestone for our company as we celebrate 35 years in business and we feel it’s more critical than ever that we continue to display our support for racers of all levels.”

Douglas also added that not a day goes by that they do not hear from racers telling them how important their contingency programs were in allowing them to keep racing at a winning level. All COMP Cams asks of the ASA Midwest Tour racers in exchange for the support is for them to provide COMP Cams with an opportunity to earn their business and show what makes COMP Cams different from any other valve train manufacturer.

ASA Midwest Tour Vice President, Steve Einhaus added, “I don’t think you can find a more well-rounded and diversified company in racing. The level of their support in the Tour is above and beyond. We see a long-term future ahead with the COMP family of companies (Quartermaster, TCI, RHS, COMP). Their product quality is superb and that is very important to all of our competitors, in all three divisions.”
