MILWAUKEE, WI (October 11, 2011) – Zaffiro’s Pizzeria, a local favorite and award-winning restaurant, and America SCORES Milwaukee, an affiliate of America SCORES which is a national organization that works to enrich the lives of urban youth through regular participation in soccer, creative writing and service learning, are teaming up on Thursday, October 20th for a fundraiser in which Zaffiro’s will donate two dollars from every large pizza purchased that evening to America SCORES Milwaukee.
The promotion, part of Zaffiro’s ongoing “Thank You Thursdays” campaign that supports local nonprofit organizations, will only be valid at the Zaffiro’s Pizzeria located in the North Shore Cinema in Mequon (11700 N. Port Washington Rd.) and applies to every large pizza ordered to go, for delivery or for in restaurant dining from 5:00 to 10:00 that night. No coupon or flyer is necessary, and movie theatre concession stand pizza does not apply.
“We invite everyone in the community to come hungry and order a large pizza that night,” said Kate Carpenter, Executive Director of America SCORES Milwaukee. “All of the money raised supports SCORES programming offered to Milwaukee’s inner-city youth that improves students’ health, academic achievement, self-expression and civic engagement.”
