Johannsen retires after 32 years with the company

MADISON, WI – September 12, 2011 – RMT, Inc. President Steve Johannsen has announced his retirement effective September 30, 2011. RMT, a renewable energy EPC contractor, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Alliant Energy Corporation.

“Steve has played a key role at RMT for 32 years,” noted Bill Harvey, Chairman and CEO of Alliant Energy Corporation. “During 15 years at RMT’s helm, he kept the organization focused on market opportunities, strong client relationships, and business process improvements. Steve orchestrated RMT’s transformation from a consulting business to a leading renewable energy contractor and has positioned the firm for future growth.”

David Kutcher, currently Chief Commercial Officer and General Counsel has been appointed President, effective September 12, 2011. Kutcher joined RMT as Vice President and General Counsel in 2009 after practicing contract and business law for 9 years, including 6 years as outside counsel to RMT. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Western Illinois University and his juris doctorate from the University of Iowa College of Law.
