Tom Aller named Foundation president, John Larsen appointed to board of directors

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa and MADISON, Wis. – February 17, 2011 – The Alliant Energy Foundation is pleased to announce that Tom Aller has been named president of the organization and John Larsen is joining its board of directors.

“I’m very proud of the support the Alliant Energy Foundation has provided across our utility service territories,” said Aller. “It is an honor and privilege to be named as the board’s president.”

Aller has served on the Alliant Energy Foundation Board of Directors since 2005. He is currently Alliant Energy’s Senior Vice President of Energy Resource Development and President of Interstate Power and Light Company, Alliant Energy’s Iowa utility subsidiary based in Cedar Rapids.

John Larsen has begun serving on the Alliant Energy Foundation Board of Directors. He is currently Alliant Energy’s Senior Vice President of Generation and was recently named President of Wisconsin Power and Light Company, Alliant Energy’s Wisconsin utility subsidiary based in Madison, Wisconsin.

“I have observed the valuable impact of the organization, as well as participated in a lot of Foundation activities in the past,” said Larsen. “I am looking forward to taking a more active role with the Alliant Energy Foundation in the future.”

Since 1998, the Foundation has contributed more than $34 million to projects and initiatives in Alliant Energy’s service territory.
