Greenfield, Wis. – Nikhil Patel, MD, a board-certified pain, physical medicine and rehabilitation physician with fellowship training in pain management, has joined the physicians of Advanced Pain Management (APM). Dr. Patel will be seeing patients at multiple Metro-Milwaukee locations, with a primary clinic address at APM’s Wisconsin Health Center located in Greenfield, Wis., at 4448 W. Loomis Road. APM is a group of physicians dedicated to diagnosing and treating painful conditions using the most advanced, minimally invasive treatment options available.

“Dr. Patel’s physical medicine and rehabilitation experience makes him a valuable addition to the Advanced Pain Management team,” said Dermot More-O’Ferrall, president of Advanced Pain Management. “We strive to provide our patients with exceptional patient care that includes a multidisciplinary treatment approach. Dr. Patel will be a positive addition to our growing practice.”

Dr. Patel specializes in interventional pain management and electrodiagnostic testing. Originally from Indianapolis, Dr. Patel completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the Medical College of Wisconsin and his fellowship at the National Pain Institute in Winter Park, Florida. During his residency, Dr. Patel formed a special interest in caring for patients with a variety of painful conditions and working closely with them to formulate specialized treatment plans.

“My approach to treating pain is multidisciplinary, including physical therapy, injections, pain psychology and medications,” said Dr. Patel. “This approach allows patients to have better control over their pain and more importantly, enables patients to get back to their normal functioning and activity levels.”
