The Wisconsin Quality Home Care Authority (QHCA) Board today announced the hiring of Patti Jo Halbrook Becker as the QHCA Executive Director.

The QHCA is a new independent public authority governed by a board with a majority membership of consumers and their representatives and advocates. The QHCA is charged with improving the availability, quality and choice of home care workers for individuals with long term care needs living in community settings. A major first activity of the QHCA will be to establish a registry to help connect consumers and prospective home care workers.

Ms. Becker comes to the QHCA with almost three years experience as the Executive Director of the Quality Home Care Commission, a predecessor organization to the QHCA which operates in Dane County. She has a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Psychology and more than 15 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities and their families and with direct care workers.

“Patti Becker brings excellent experience and a passion for the work of the Quality Home Care Authority to this position,” said QHCA Board Chair Fredi Bove. “We are pleased that she has agreed to join us in our important mission.”
